General Policies


WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE AND FORFIET YOUR DEPOSIT AS A CONSEQUENCE IF:

  • You turn up more than 20 minutes late to your appointment

  • Attend your appointment with damaged skin in the area we are working on (eg. Sunburn or injury)

  • Attend your appointment without notifying us of a medical condition mentioned in the consent form that will affect your tattoo (eg. Pregnant or actively on antibiotics or steroids)

  • Attend your appointment under the influence of alcohol or drugs

  • Unable to provide a valid form of ID or found underage

  • Change your design completely without sufficient notice

  • You are unwell & sick

  • Bring your child or pet unattended

  • Wear numbing cream without consulting us

  • Bring a group of friends. Please come alone or one friend (with approval)

We have cameras recording 24/7 for safety reasons.

Touch ups


Tattoo touch ups can only be done once your tattoo is fully healed after 4 weeks minimum. Attempting to touch up a tattoo that has not healed yet will cause unnecessary irritation.

We offer one free touch up within 6 weeks from your appointment. Multiple touch ups after that is not necessary and we’d love for you to enjoy the natural aging process that comes with tattoos. If you’d like more touch ups in the future, we charge our regular pricing to book you in.

Please note: Hands, feet, elbows, knees, necks and wrist tattoos are not included as these are high movement areas that fade much faster than other areas.

Pricing


SHOP MINIMUM

$200 +hst

or $100 +hst on our Walk-in Wednesdays for simple tattoos under 3 inches.

HALF DAY (3-4 hours)

$600 to $800 +hst

FULL DAY (6-7 hours)

$1200 to $1400 +hst

  • Pricing is based off a combination of our hourly rate, experience, the style of tattoo, technique, size, placement, and level of detail.

    Factoring in hourly rate accounts for from the beginning of your appointment time until the end of the session when the tattoo is finished.

    Smaller pieces does not mean less time and less price, some smaller pieces are more difficult and require more detail to complete and that will reflect in your quote (ex: fine line and dot work may be more).

    Multi-session pieces

    Multi session pieces that take 6 hours + are automatically charged by the hour. They can vary in time and may take longer than anticipated, please take it at your own pace and be prepared for that possibility. We will try to give you as accurate of an estimate as possible to help budget and plan.

  • All final payments must be made in full at the time of your appointment and can be made via cash or e-transfer. Subject to hst. If you choose to not go ahead with your tattoo on the day of appointment, we have the right to charge you for the agreed fee. This will compensate for time spent on admin, researching, drawing, and stencil prep.

  • If you would still like to tip cash is preferred! Tips can vary from 15-20%.

Schedueling


Appointments are typically scheduled 2-5 weeks in advanced and can be booked as far as 2 months. Updates, cancellations and flash events will be posted on our instagram.

All communication regarding your appointment must be done through email at Contact.browncow@gmail.com. We do not book through direct message. For urgent communication, please contact us by phone or email. Non-urgent inquiries will be communicated in the order we receive them, we ask that clients please respect our policies and refrain from sending multiple message or calling.

Designs & Artwork


To create the best tattoos, we need our clients to trust us to interpret and create the best design. We prioritize pre-drawn concepts, and flash designs. We are open to taking on any project big or small, whether it is showcased in our portfolio or not.

Customs projects are always welcomed, however not all projects will be accepted. We appreciate creative freedom and work best with little micromanagement.

All designs are custom drawn the week of your appointment. We do not allow previews of designs before hand. You will have time the day of your appointment to make small changes if necessary. Big changes or complete change in design will forfeit your deposit and a new booking may be necessary.

Design fittings can be requested, where you can meet your artist to go over the design a week before your appointment. This is treated like another consultation.

If you are considering making changes, please contact us as early as possible. Last minute changes affect our workflow and earnings. If you are starting a large project, we expect your commitment by booking follow up sessions within a reasonable timeframe. Please keep in mind it is important to make sure you like the style of your artist, that you vocalize and clear of your design requirements before making a deposit.

Deposits


$100 - $300 (minimum)

Deposits / retainers — The deposit secures your slot and covers admin work. Non-refundable and deducted at the end of your session.

  • To make a booking, we require a non-refundable tattoo deposit/ retainer. Small tattoos require a $100 to $200 deposit & full days require $300.

    By placing a deposit, you are agreeing to our policies. The deposit secures your slot and covers admin work. Non-refundable and deducted from your total cost of your final session. Deposits can be carried over for multi-session pieces.

  • Deposits are held for up to 6 months, or will become void.

Please note; we do not hold onto deposits for clients who are unable to provide an alternative date for the appointment when rescheduling. Past deposits paid that were forfeited due to cancellation without reschedule (regardless of notice given) cannot be applied to future appointments if you choose to book a new appointment later on

DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Cancellations & Reschedules


ONE TIME RESCHEDULE — Deposits cover a ONE TIME RESCHEDULE with a 72 hour notice.

NO DOUBLE RESCHEDULES — Reschedules made more than once (twice), even with 72 hour notice, are forfeited.

LATENESS — If you are 20 minutes late, you will lose the deposit toward the tattoo. We have the right to cancel your appointment.

NO SHOWS — No shows will result in a forfeit of your deposit, black-listed and never booked again. If something urgent has happened and you were unable to reach us at the time, please still message us.

CHANGE OF DESIGN — Small revisions can be made at the time of your appointment. Complete change of design require a new deposit and your appointment will be rescheduled to a later date.
