Monica, also known as ZEN is a second generation Cambodian and Chinese Canadian artist in Mississauga ON. Connecting back to her roots and healing are strong influences in her work and in her life. In 2016 Monica began practicing art and buddhism. The connection of the two has been a conduit to her self expression and a way to tap back into spirit. In 2020 she explored large scale murals through the public arts community, private projects and began her tattoo career opening up Brown Cow Studio with Kedre in Missisauga.
Monica is currently focusing on small to large scale bodies of work with the focus on Ornamental imagery. Exploring Asian motifs, ornaments, and botanical works. Through her journey she hopes to inspire others to connect deeper with themselves and the healing power of art.
